According to Doug, the simplicity of his design is dependent on his capacity to pack a great deal of humor into a single frame. He acknowledged the difficulty of getting people laugh with only one panel and one punchline despite the fact that he has done so. On the other hand, he is of the opinion that the proliferation of social media platforms such as Instagram over the course of the last ten years has made it far simpler for artists to disseminate their products and communicate with a larger audience.
