A significant number of the recurrent themes that I explore in my comics are related to gaming and the experiences that individuals have in common when they are playing video games.
Mindy has stated the following in reference to her characters: "The main character in the majority of my comics is a caricature of myself, though I try not to make that the subject of the focus." Non-playable characters (NPCs) from video games served as inspiration for a significant number of the other characters.
