Mia told The New York Times Podcasts she is rebranding.
In 2014, she became one of the most searched and talked-about adult film performers. An explicit sequence in which she donned a headscarf made her famous and sparked opposition, including threats from extremist groups.
Mia stated she became “infamous by accident” in sexual entertainment. However, she informed the podcast presenter that her brand is a “contradiction” and “evolution.” She now posts about political problems on social media.
“Where I am now, mentally, emotionally, just on every level, is a complete 180 from who I was,” she added.
