This piece focuses on non-surgical jowl reduction. I’ll review a brief and simple Face Yoga exercise that targets the area beneath the chin and jaw. It should be simple to fit into your hectic day because it takes just ten minutes to finish. exercise
I frequently provide films on Face Yoga poses, facial massage methods, and other wellness-related guidance.
WHAT ARE JOWLS AND WHAT CAUSES THEM?
The tiny patches of loose skin, edema, or fat buildup that develop immediately beneath the jaw are called jowls. They can occur at any age, and a variety of variables influence the likelihood of experiencing sagging in this region.
There is no denying that genetics matters. But lifestyle plays a bigger role. Your sleep habits, stress levels, and alcohol and tobacco use all have an impact on your skin. Sun damage is a major one as well.
Considering that sun damage is thought to be the cause of up to 80% of skin aging, please make using SPF a regular habit after reading this post! This also applies on cloudy days and if you have darker skin.
Our contemporary digital lifestyle is another aspect that influences whether or not we acquire slack jowls. A lot of us glance down at our computer or phone screens for extended periods. Understanding our posture can have a significant impact.
POSTURE
Give your posture some attention before beginning this jowl-busting Face Yoga exercise. Stretch your back and lower your shoulders so they are relaxed and away from your ears. Imagine a thread reaching up to the ceiling, or the sky if you’re outside, from the top of your head. Feel it extending everything out as it draws you upward.
To provide oneself more room to work, lift your chin a little. Next, pause to establish a connection with your breath. Breathe deeply and calmly in through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise and fall.
Ensure that your face and hands are both clean. A few drops of Danielle Collins’ Fusion Serum should be applied to your skin to facilitate easy hand movement.
This is a lovely serum for Face Yoga. Its molecules are small enough to go deep into your skin and deliver all the nourishing advantages of botanical seed oils to the middle layer of the skin thanks to specific development.
After completing this face yoga regimen, you don’t need to wash it off; you can leave it on all day or all night.
START WITH GRATITUDE
We frequently visit Face Yoga because we are dissatisfied with our appearance or the way we are aging. Therefore, it may seem strange that I’m urging you to be grateful for your face just as it is at this moment.
Based on my observations, experiencing appreciation does not prevent us from benefiting from Face Yoga. Gratitude combined with constructive action transforms Face Yoga into a loving and empowering self-care routine.
Try to approach your face with love and gratitude as you go through this Face Yoga program. Express gratitude to the areas of your face that you typically cover up or detest. Use this as a chance to give these regions some of your tender care.
1. JAW MASSAGE
Make a “V” form with your index and middle fingers. Smooth down your jaw with your index finger underneath and middle finger on top of your jawbone. Begin from your chin and extend outward. To go over one side and then the other, switch hands.
This movement should be repeated for about a minute.
This facilitates improved blood flow to the chin and jaw region. Additionally, it shapes the region and promotes the flow of any fluid that has accumulated here.
2. TAPPING
Tap all over the skin by flicking upwards beneath your jaw and chin with the tips of your fingers.
This easy massage tightens, lifts, and minimizes jowls by increasing the production of collagen and elastin.
You can choose to use one hand at a time if you would rather not coordinate with both hands as it can be challenging.
Make careful you tap the entire area for around a minute.
Remember to take a breath. Breathe through your nose while you continue to feel your abdomen rise and fall.
3. TILT HEAD BACK
We’re performing some facial exercises that focus on the neck muscles for this movement and the one after it. Lifting and toning these muscles also causes the skin that surrounds them to tighten and tauten, firming the entire region and lessening the appearance of jowls.
If you have any neck pain, carefully tilt your head back. Lower and roll your shoulders back. This should already feel familiar to you in the space beneath your chin.
Extrude your tongue in the direction of your nose tip. Next, lift your mouth’s corners upward. You may observe that your mouth develops some lines as a result of this. Smooth those lines with your index fingers; with face yoga, we never want to draw new lines.
Take a thirty-second break from this stance. Take it again after a little moment of release.
Return to the center. To relieve any strain or lines caused by this movement, tap the entire area surrounding your lips with your middle and index fingers together.
4. SIDE NECK
Face one side of your head. Lift and incline your chin back a little. Simultaneously, extend your arms behind you, drawing your shoulder blades closer together and raising your chest slightly.
You are welcome to remain here at any time. Another way is to protrude your tongue in the direction of your nose tip.
After twenty counts, hold the posture and then release. Continue on the opposite side.
To release any tension, shake out your arms a little. Apply some shoulder rolls as well. After that, hold the position for 20 seconds on each side.
5. PINCHING
Pinch your jaw with two fingers and your thumb. Work your way out toward your ear, starting with your chin.
Pinching down into the muscle is more important in this situation than raising and tugging at the skin.
Lift off and replace your fingers at your chin after you’ve reached the outside edge of your jaw. Act four times in all.
Release your hands down.
DONE!
And now we’re all done. This routine, like any Face Yoga or facial exercise, works best when practiced daily. Maybe incorporate it into your nightly or morning skincare regimen. You could even run through it while watching TV or taking a shower.
