Bunny ears shoe hack, give your shoes a spring update

To get your shoes ready for spring, give them a little facelift. I thought I could make these shoes much more fun with a simple hack, so I got them a few weeks ago (before isolation) on a deal for only a few pounds.

These shoes are much more entertaining now that I used two pompoms and leftover fabric. A perfect, in my opinion, shopping experience in my shed. Create with things you already have because you shouldn’t be purchasing any non-essentials right now.

This small trick is ideal for updating some basic shoes for Easter. Watch the video below to see how I dressed up these basic shoes for Easter.

Just make sure the backing fabric’s hue somewhat matches the shoe’s color. This is such a simple little hack, and it’s a great way to utilize stuff you already have.

I used a pre-made pom pom, but you could make your own with some extra yarn.

To create the bunny ears, print the pattern, but make sure the finished product is 7.5 cm (3 inches) tall.
Four ears from the backdrop fabric and four from the accent fabric must be cut.

Additionally, two pompoms, a sewing machine, and a glue gun are required.

I sewed this using my sewing machine, but you could just as easily sew it by hand. That way, the kids could help sew their bunny ears onto their shoes.

But don’t restrict yourself to children’s programming. These adorable rabbit ears will look fantastic on your sneakers, slippers and shoes.
